Privacy policy

This website processes very little personal data, and here we explain which data, what for and for how long, as Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires. The short version: no accounts, no forms, no advertising, and analytics only runs if you accept it.

What data we process, why and on what legal basis

This website processes personal data in three situations. There are no others:

ProcessingDataPurposeLegal basisRetention
Analytics with Google Analytics 4Pseudonymous identifier stored in cookies, pages viewed, clicks to watch videos or go to YouTube, device and browser type, approximate location (country, region or city)Finding out which content is useful and which isn'tYour consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without it, only cookieless pings: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f))Up to 14 months in Google Analytics
Server logsIP address, browser (user agent), address of the requested page, date and timeSecurity, abuse prevention and error detectionLegitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)30 days at most
Emails you send us at [to be completed]Your email address and whatever you choose to tell usReplying to you and, where applicable, handling requests to exercise your rightsLegitimate interest in replying to you (Art. 6(1)(f)); legal obligation if you exercise a right (Art. 6(1)(c))As long as needed to deal with your message and, afterwards, for as long as liability may arise from that communication

Analytics only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, it is off by default. Outside those regions it may be active from the first page, and you can still reject it.

On every visit, your browser downloads the Google Analytics code from Google's servers. Without your consent, that code runs in a restricted mode: it does not set or read cookies, although it may send Google cookieless pings (with technical data such as your browser, screen resolution and IP address) that Google uses to estimate statistics in aggregate. Google states that, for visitors from the EEA, Switzerland and the UK, Analytics does not log or store IP addresses: it uses them to derive an approximate location and then discards them.

Besides page views, we record as an event when you click to watch a video and when you leave for YouTube to watch it there or to subscribe. This tells us which videos people are interested in, not who you are. Server logs would only be kept for more than 30 days if we had to investigate a specific security incident or comply with a legal request.

YouTube videos and the channel counter

Videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (the youtube-nocookie.com domain), and the player only loads when you press play. Until then you see a static thumbnail served from our own server, so nothing from YouTube is loaded.

When you press play, your browser connects to YouTube, which processes your data as an independent controller under Google's Privacy Policy and may use cookies or local storage. According to Google, in this mode your viewing is not used to personalize your YouTube experience or the ads you see outside this website.

The subscriber and view counter is calculated by our server from the public channel statistics that YouTube provides. Your browser only queries our own /api/stats address, which sets no cookies and collects no personal data. That request is recorded in the server logs like any other visit.

Fonts and images are hosted on our own server, so loading the website involves no requests to Google Fonts or to stock photo sites.

Who else may see your data

  • Hosting provider: stores the website and the server logs on our behalf, as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR).
  • Email provider we use to manage [to be completed], also as a processor.
  • Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics): processes the analytics data as a processor under Google's data processing terms, which list Analytics among the services they cover. If Google uses information for its own purposes, it does so as a controller; it explains this in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
  • YouTube (Google Ireland Limited): only if you press play, as an independent controller.
  • Authorities, courts and law enforcement agencies, only when the law requires us to.

We do not sell or disclose your data to anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising. Nor do we make automated decisions or build profiles that affect you.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Google may process data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which is covered by a European Commission adequacy decision of July 10, 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR). As of October 2, 2026, its certification is listed as active in the official Data Privacy Framework list. Where a transfer is not covered by that decision, Google says it relies on standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission.

If any other provider of ours were to process data outside the EEA, it would do so with one of the safeguards set out in Chapter V of the GDPR, and we would say so here.

Your rights and how to exercise them

  • Access: find out whether we process data about you and get a copy.
  • Rectification of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure, when the data are no longer needed or you withdraw your consent.
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Restriction of processing, for example while a complaint of yours is being looked into.
  • Portability of the data you gave us with your consent.
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time, from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer, without affecting processing carried out before.

Write to [to be completed] saying which right you want to exercise. It's free, and we will reply within one month, which can be extended by two further months if the request is complex (Art. 12(3) GDPR). We will only ask you for more information if we have reasonable doubts about your identity.

A practical point: since there are no accounts, we cannot link Analytics data to your name. If you want us to locate it, you can give us the identifier stored in your browser's _ga cookie; if we cannot identify you, we will explain why (Art. 11 GDPR). To delete it on your side, just clear those cookies in your browser, as explained in the cookie policy.

If you're not satisfied: the AEPD

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) through its electronic office, which is in Spanish. If you live or work in another EU country, you can also complain to the data protection authority there (Art. 77 GDPR). The AEPD's website explains each of your rights. We'd appreciate it if you wrote to us first: almost everything can be sorted out with an email.

Minors

The content is aimed at adults, because it deals with risky investments. Under Article 7 of the LOPDGDD, Spain's data protection act, in Spain you can only consent to the processing of your data on your own from the age of 14. If you are under 14, ask your mother, father or guardian to decide before accepting analytics cookies.

Changes to this policy

If what the website does with your data changes, for example because we add a new tool, we will update this page before applying the change and, if your consent is needed, we will ask for it again. The date of the last update appears at the top.

FAQ /

Frequently asked questions

Does this website know who I am?

No. There are no accounts or forms. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics assigns your browser a pseudonymous identifier that does not include your name or your email address. We would only know who you are if you write to us at [to be completed].

What happens if I reject cookies?

The website works exactly the same: you can read everything and watch every video. We just stop measuring your visit with analytics cookies. You can change your mind at any time from “Cookie preferences” in the footer.

Does YouTube know I watched a video here?

Only if you press play: before that, nothing from YouTube loads. When you play it, YouTube receives the visit as it would with any embedded player. In privacy-enhanced mode, Google says it does not use it to personalize your YouTube experience or your ads.

How long do you keep my data?

Server logs, 30 days at most. Google Analytics data, up to 14 months. Emails, as long as needed to reply to you and for the period in which liability may arise from that communication.
